What is the format?
The format of the document to be translated can be important, especially when estimating the cost. A pdf or image file can make counting the words difficult and may need to be converted in order to give an accurate price. Websites can also be tricky, particularly if there are many pages and sub-pages. It is always a good idea, if possible, to provide the copy in a Word document format – this will ensure nothing gets missed.
If your document is password protected, make sure you either remove or provide the password to your project manager or translator. If your document is web-based, make sure you provide all the relevant links and information.
At First Edition we can also provide the finished document in a number of different formats, including pdf and the standard Microsoft programs. We also offer a typesetting service if required.
