We cover a wide range of worldwide languages including all 24 EU languages, English, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and more. Contact us to find out if we’ve got the right translator for your needs!

How long do translations take?

It really depends on the nature of the project, and the complexity of the language and type of content being translated. But our project managers will work with you to assess this and to give you an idea of what to expect.

Where do I start with my translation project?

The best place to start is to get in touch with our team so that we can assess your needs, put a plan together for you and get started. A project manager assigned to your project will give you all the information you need in terms of what you need to submit, how long it might take, what the output will be, project costs and more.

What type of medical translations are you able to do?

Our specialised team is able to conduct full translations for any number of medical documents including regulatory and legal documents, SPCs, PILs, labels, treatment manuals, dosage documents and inserts, research papers and abstracts, information and marketing materials, magazines, websites, brochures and more.

How secure is my document once I’ve handed it to the First Edition Translations team to work on?

All material submitted to us is done so in the strictest confidence using secure systems for transfer, storage and progressing the translation, before making the final product available to you using a secure channel. We are a Cyber Essentials certified company too.

Can I keep track of progress on my translation?

Absolutely! Your project manager will keep you informed for each step along the way, and you are also able to contact them at any time to find out more information if you need it.

How specific do I need to be about how I want my translation to be done?

The whole process is a collaborative one, where your assigned project manager and translator will work with you to understand exactly what it is you want, and guide you on the best practice to achieve this. You can provide as much information as you believe is necessary, or ask questions where you may need our guidance. Either way, the end product will be exactly what you’re looking for.

Does First Edition Translations adhere to ISO standards?

Yes we most certainly do – all our translators are carefully selected professionals who work within the translation-industry specific ISO17100 standard to deliver the highest quality of work.

Do you have translators specifically for niche or highly-specialised translation projects such as scientific, medical, legal and business translations?

Absolutely. Depending on the requirement, we will assign a translator to your project who not only has the highest level of linguistic ability to complete an accurate translation, but also the specific knowledge and expertise required to understand the subject matter and translate it correctly for the industry to which the project pertains.

Are you able to do a multi-lingual translation from a single source document?

Definitely! We can assign any number of translators to a project to ensure you receive your translation in all the languages you require.
