What equipment do I need to become a Freelance Translator?
In order to work on a freelance basis, you would need the following equipment: word-processor or computer, printer, telephone, fax, answer machine, e-mail, and access to dictionaries and a reference library. Hand-written or typed translations are not acceptable.
To register with translation companies, simply send your CV and a covering letter to as many as you can, giving details of the subjects and services you offer, as well as your rate per 1000 words and minimum charge.
